On 16th December 2016, Prof. M. Balakrishnan, Deputy Director, IIT Delhi was invited to Green Fields School, Safdarjung Enclave for distribution of Tactile Diagram Books of Science and Mathematics to the visually impaired students studying in 9th standard. He spoke about various assistive devices being developed at Assistech Lab at IITD like SmartCane Device, OnBoard, Refreshable Braille Displays and also mentioned the need and importance of tactile diagrams for the visually impaired students in the field of education
